Wildwood is located in SW Calgary and is about a 5 minute drive from downtown. Alternatively many of its residents ride their bicycles to work due the community's proximity to the Douglas Fir Trail and the elaborate bike path system that leads directly to downtown. As residents, you also benefit from easy access to main transportation routes, the mountains to the west, shopping, banking, schooling and greenspaces.
Wildwood is a diverse community whose demographics comprise single professionals, young families, empty nesters and seniors. There is a very active Community Association offering diverse programming to its residents. There is something in Wildwood for everyone. Volunteerism is prevelant.
Wildwood is a mature community full of tall trees, wide lots and many greenspaces. Most of the homes were built in the late 1950's. Recently, many of the community's homes are being renovated or replaced. Its residents are doing so as they enjoy the community's exceptional location and surrounding amenities and wish to stay here for the long term. Wildwood is a great community for people of all ages.
